Sharing some thoughts on current events influencing the world
The US has taken the initiative and rightly so to control the power of social media which is based on technology, technology, which is racing towards putting more and more smaller more powerful, wireless products into our lives. we are all in its grip.... today no one can live without technology connecting his life...and we can connect to everyone thru our tech devices..The law is being made, will be put to effect and will be enforced.... this will be only the beginning of getting its power back, its influence back...
The Laws being passed, one after the other, is only a systemic reaction to the force it saw unleashed in Libya and other countries...the power of social media the idea that when people can talk and see each other anywhere anytime (and that's all that technology does), anything can happen... The govt wants to control all of it and you thru it coz you cannot exist offline ....in more ways than one...today.
The other governments are waiting...for each one is shaken....and the US has taken the lead...it will happen everywhere and soon....every government wants its power back...every one of them...its an existential question...laws across the lands will change ... govt's would get scared of its people ....and people will start hating the governments everywhere...
Social and civil disturbances everywhere.
Surprisingly, the US could be motivated to create such laws by the desire to gain control, among'st other things, and that is the very thing they will loose in their own society. Its a systemic reaction to their reaction when they saw social media raising its head and causing revolutions and over throw of governments....NO King nor government likes that... ...Social media is so scary because you are giving the power of influencing a very large system to the individual ...and the power has the magic of growing in geometric progressions...and causing revolutions...disruptions...
